CEEPS 2004
Post-conference Report
The second Canadian
Experiential Education Practitioners Symposium (CEEPS) 2004 took place on
April 23-25 at the Bark Lake Leadership Centre. Despite the
heightened interest generated by the success of our first year, attendance
was somewhat short of our hopes. However I am proud to report that
we continued to grow, and by all accounts, we created another powerful
professional development conference!

We had strong representation
from the youth/youth-at-risk sector this year, and while the total
sessions were slightly fewer in number, they were more intense. The Virtual Space format
was every bit as powerful as our first year, the weather was terrific
again, and the "right
people" were there!
Special thanks to The Frontier
Group, who, true to their word from last year, sponsored two of their
facilitators to attend. An excellent example of investing in the
growth of your people. We also had no less than three participants
come from Project D.A.R.E. It's so much easier to keep the momentum
going all year when your work mates shared the same experience!
Although many of our 2003
alumnae were sadly prevented from returning due to schedule conflicts, we
did have seven re-register from last year. We hope to see even more
familiar faces in 2005. (Click here to

As in the previous year, we had
great industry sector diversity. Organizations represented included:
